Jenna Office ManagerJenna Parsons, MSN, FNP-BC, CNL

Born and raised in the beautiful Northeast Kingdom of Vermont, Jenna Parsons has always had a deep connection to nature and a passion for helping others. She began her healthcare journey at the University of Vermont, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing. For over a decade, Jenna served in an acute care hospital setting, where she gained valuable experience and completed her master’s degree as a Clinical Nurse Leader.

But her path took a powerful turn when she faced her own health challenges. Frustrated with the traditional model of symptom-based care, Jenna began seeking answers beyond prescriptions—and that’s when she found GrassRoots Functional Medicine. First as a patient, then as the office manager, and now as a Family Nurse Practitioner trained through the Institute for Functional Medicine (IFM), Jenna has lived every step of the GrassRoots mission firsthand.

Her personal transformation fuels her passion for helping others find real healing by identifying and addressing the root causes of illness. Jenna’s diverse experience—ranging from hospital care to school nursing and home health—has shown her that true wellness requires a holistic, individualized approach.

Jenna brings compassion, knowledge, and a deep understanding of the functional medicine journey to every patient she meets. She’s honored to now serve as a provider on the very team that helped her reclaim her own health.

She lives in central Vermont with her husband and two children, and when she’s not at the clinic, you’ll find her running, hiking, camping, or fishing with her family—soaking up all the joy that nature and life have to offer.
