Peptide Therapy

Supercharge Your Body’s Ability to Fight Aging & Disease

Peptides help conduct the symphony of biological processes that facilitate recovery and repair. We produce them naturally, but production declines as we age. Peptide therapy supplements your body’s natural peptides so your body can function as it was designed to.

This may help to slow aging, reduce inflammation, and enhance youthful vitality.

What are Peptides?

Peptides are short chains of amino acids that your body uses as signaling agents. They can activate, de-activate, and help regulate processes related to growth, metabolism, digestion, and other functions. There are more than 7,000 peptides within the body and they influence immune health, weight loss, cognitive function, energy, healing, and much more.

Physically speaking, they are short chains of made up of amino acids. Compounds with fewer than 50 amino acids are considered peptides, and those with more than 100 are labeled as proteins.

Because your body already produces and uses peptides, it knows how to break down and recycle them, which is why they carry very few side effects.

How Does Peptide Therapy Work?

Your body naturally produces peptides, but production slows as you age and face stressors and disease. Peptide therapy provides an increase in targeted peptides to signal changes in your body.

For example, Growth Hormone-Releasing Hormone (GHRH) peptides and other GH secretagogues (GHS) trigger your pituitary gland to produce more growth hormone. This hormone peaks in puberty and declines starting in middle age, leading to the classic signs of aging.

Increasing your body’s growth hormone production with peptides may improve energy, fat burning, libido, muscle mass, and immune function without the risks of synthetic hormone therapy.

Conditions that Can Benefit from Peptide Therapy

Since our bodies naturally produce many kinds of peptides, peptide therapy has shown significant promise for a variety of symptoms & health challenges, including:

How is peptide therapy administered?

Depending on the specific peptides being utilized, peptide therapy may be administered via injections, nasal sprays, oral capsules, or transdermal creams.

What kind of results can I expect?

Peptide therapies usually have a “loading” period of 3-6 months before the full effects are noticed and then can be used indefinitely with little to no side effects.

As with any therapy, the best results are achieved when the tool is used as part of a comprehensive approach that optimizes your lifestyle and diet. This is why you’ll work with our functional medicine practitioners and nutritionist to implement a personalized protocol via our Adaptation Programs

We’ll use comprehensive bloodwork and a functional approach to determine your target deficits and goals. We’ll then create a targeted peptide protocol and nutrition plan to maximize your results and optimize performance as we work together.

What are the risks and side effects?

Peptide therapy carries very few side effects since your body already produces and breaks down peptides naturally. That being said, there are a few known potential reactions, including itching or erythema at the injection site to look out for. Certain peptide protocol s may also carry a low risk for lunula of the nails turning blue (corrects over 4-6 weeks), headaches, peripheral edema, anxiety, mood swings, and nausea. For a more in- depth review of the benefits and risks of each protocol, download our free Peptide Therapy Handbook.

*Individual results vary. The best results will be achieved when peptides are used alongside a health-promoting lifestyle. These peptides are not approved or regulated by the FDA. Some particular peptides have GRAS (Generally Regarded as Safe) status with the FDA. These are compounded for human use by a U.S. 503A compounding pharmacy that provides them on a patient-specific basis.
